Research

Member groups of the HeaDS Hub span a broad range of health data science disciplines, including but not limited to:

  • Systems biology and bioinformatics;
  • Medical informatics and precision medicine
  • Genetic/genomic epidemiology
  • Population genomics and ancient DNA
  • Metagenomics and microbiomics
  • Multi-omics, machine learning, and biostatistics and applied math.

Group expertise also spans work that is theoretical, applied, and directly translated into clinical use – from methods development in next generation sequencing to predictive modeling of patient survival in intensive care units (ICUs)

We encourage groups working in health data science to apply for membership! The specific focus of HeaDS is on work in the development of data science methods, as opposed to the production and analysis of large data set. Applications are reviewed by the Steering Committee members.
