About The Center for Health Data Science (HeaDS)

The Center for Health Data Science (HeaDS) was established on March 1st, 2020 as a part of Faculty Service at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) by Professor Anders Krogh. As of 1 Janaury 2025, HeaDS is a part of the Section for Health Data Science and AI, at the Department of Public Health.

The main mission of the Center is to strengthen health data science within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (SUND) at the University of Copenhagen and serve as a hub for researchers using health Data Science.

HeaDS provides SUND employees and PhD students with courses and workshops for  health data science skills training - from basic computing and programming to specialized -omics analysis techniques. HeaDS also hosts health data science events and conferences.
