Drop-in Thursday

How does it work?

The SUND DataLab hosts Drop-In Thursdays every Thursday afternoon from 13:00 to 15:00 at the Center for Health Data Science.
There are two ways to drop-in:

  • You can just drop-in at the Center with your computer and the questions you would like to ask 
  • You can send an email to datalab@sund.ku.dk explaining the problem you are facing, so a data scientist will be prepared once you come

Important:

If your question is related to conducting a project, as opposed to technical questions, please prepare by clarifying beforehand what data you have and what your scientific question is.

The aim of these sessions is to provide employees with a format to address their data science and bioinformatics questions without having to arrange a consultancy. If the problem is too complex to solve within the Drop-In time, HeaDS offers the possibility to set up a longer private sparring session with a SUND DataLab employee.

Where is the Drop In?

How to find HeaDS

HeaDS is located at Panum, in building 33, 4th floor, section D. Starting from the entrance at Nørre Allé, near the bookstore, there are two ways to find us:

 

Option 1
  1. Follow the signs directing to HeaDS, starting from the staircase.
  2. If you don't see a sign for a long time just keep walking in the same direction the last sign pointed. You may find yourself road-blocked at section C, which is currently behind card access.

If you cannot use your card to enter, please email datalab@sund.ku.dk and a member of the team will come to pick you up.

 

Option 2
  1. This option requires no card access. It is illustrated on the right.
  2. Go downstairs into the basement
  3. Go through the open double doors at the foot of the stairs and and continue straight on
  4. Turn left at the end of the hallway
  5. Continue almost all the way down the hallway until you reach elevator 33c on your right
  6. Go up to 4th floor
  7. HeaDS is on your right as you exit the elevator
