A 3-day introductory course to Python that will make Python your favorite computer language

The Python Tsunami is an introductory course to programming in the language Python. It is intended for researchers at SUND who are interested in learning how to use Python but who do not have any prior experience yet.

The course will first introduce the programming language in general.

We will demonstrate how to run Python from within Jupyter Notebooks via Google Colab, an environment that is often used for analysis and collaborative work. An overview of the fundamental Pythonic data structures will follow and participants will learn about conditional statements, loops and functions. Lastly, the course will cover the libraries pandas and plotly express that allow for efficient data manipulation and visualization.
